Applying for Greencard from TPS

I am in TPS(Temporary Protected Status) and i have requested my employer to sponsor green card for me. However, they says that sponsoring green card in my case is more expensive than the regular ones i.e applying from any other status (e.g H1). I was in F1 status until December 2015 and then i am in TPS status which i got from August 2015. I have not been out of status. Is green card filing in my case is expensive for my employer? Is there any special forms that has to be filed to sponsor me because I am in TPS?

The costs are the same. The only thing that matters is that the person is in a valid status. Which one is to a large extent irrelevant (there are some limitations if somebody entered in a status that doesn't allow immigration intent.)
