Currently on H1, travelling to India, policy for changing to H4 stamping

Hello, my wife is currently in US on H1. But the last entry to US was on H4, later did CoS to H1 through lottery and her stamped h4 visa was valid till this year January. She is visiting India now and has plans to convert back to H4 Visa. Does she need to go for in person stamping or is she eligible for drop box option since the stamped visa expiry is within one year and she is applying for same visa type h4, though her actual status in US now is H1. The questionnaire on visa consulate website does not talk clearly about this case. Appreciate your suggestion! Thanks.

She is eligible for drop box as she has been in the H class.
