Hello, I moved to employer A during Jan 2023 and got H1B approved till 2026. I moved to a new location during july 2023 and my employer A filled an H1B amendment. Status is in Progress. I travelled to india during Aug and came back during Sep 2023. My recent I94 shows (after my travel) shows till 2026 i.e the end date from my approved H1. My wifes H4 is until Oct 2023. My employer is taking care of H4 extension. My wife/me is applying for H4 EAD Renewal on our own. On the form I765 on Question 29 – (c)(26) Eligibility Category – H1B Holder Receipt Number: what should be entered? Should the receipt number be from H1B holders approved i797(during Jan till 2026) or should this be the receipt number from my H1B amendment filled during July 2023? Since i travelled out of the country during h1 amendment and came back with new i94, will it effect be the H1B amendment or H4 Extension or H4EAD? Please advise. Since H4 extension will be filed by employer and H4 EAD by ourselves, how to consider filling (H4 extension,H4 EAD renewal) jointly? Thank you.
