  1. Hello Friends, I have below situation and have a question. Please let me know your comments / suggestions / advise. I am currently working from India. Our client's offices are still 'Work From Home". My family is in India so I would like to be working from India as much as possible. - Current H1-B expires at end of January 2022 - Extension filing is currently going on. In fact, it would be files in a week or so. - Scenario 1 : Let's say my extension is approved before my current Visa expires, but still stamping is not yet done, and I am still working from India, is it OK to continue working though Visa stamping is not yet renewed? Scenario 2 (worst case): Let's say my extension is not yet approved even after my current Visa expired at end of January and I am still working from India. Can I still continue working from India? Or do I need to consider returning to US before current Visa expires, based on my current Visa stamp? Thank you very much for reading this topic. Have a good time...
  2. Hello Friends, I have a question related to H1B validity after priority date is current and I do not apply for AOS. Here is my situation. I have valid H1-B extended several times based on I-140 approval. I am still working on H1B. My priority date (EB-2 June 2012) became current in Filing Chart. I have a question. How long my H1B visa will be valid if I do not apply for AOS? My current visa expires in January 2022. My employer is currently getting ready to apply for an extension. He will apply soon. Any ideas? Thank you
  3. Hello, I also have similar situation. EB-2 with PD June2012. EB-2 approved with 3 years of Degree. Thinking to downgrade from EB-2 to EB-3. Did you get any updates or have got any advise? To Friends - does anyone have any thoughts please?
  4. Hello Friends, I am currently looking to downgrade from EB-2 to EB-3 (priority date June2012). My wife and daughter are currently in India. Since my daughter's study is going on, they may not join me in US for at least few years. Now that I need to file I-140 and I-485, what are my options? Can their I-485 be filed later? What are Pros & Cons if we do not file their I-485 now? Any thoughts / comments / advise please? I would appreciate it. Thank you
  5. @User099 & @gopalakrishnach; Thank you very much for your responses, they really help..
  6. Hello Everyone. I need your advise for my situation. I am currently working on H1-B approved and stamped till January 2022. I had traveled to India in March this year and right now stuck here due to COVID. However, my client is fine for me supporting remotely from India. I am on US payroll. I have questions below. 1) Since I am not feeling safe to travel right now; Arizona, which is my work place, has increasing numbers in cases; And since my family stays in India how long can I be working remotely? Any time limit for this COVID situation and considering safety? 2) Would there be any effect on future Entries into US after working on US payroll and being in India? Thank you in advance
  7. Thank you Shekar11# and JoeF for your responses. I highly appreciate it. Regarding getting visitor visa, can I get more information? Do I need to mention reason like job search or I need to mention any other reason? I appreciate and welcome for any advises. Thank you again all...
  8. Hello All, I need your advise to come out of the situation. I would highly appreciate your help. Thank you very much in advance. Here is my situation....... - I have 140 approved and have H-1 B visa stamped in passport till 13 March 2017. The client informed to my company on 27th October that project is discontinued while I was working from India. Just FYI, I was allowed to work temporarily from India. I was then immediately laid off from my company once project is discontinued. Currently I am in India and I wanted to come back to USA to be able to search jobs and do interviews effectively. I believe that being in US would give more chances of getting job offer than searching from India. Also, in case I get job while I am in India, I would need to wait till approval (I-797) whereas I can start new job based on receipt. However, I am still searching for jobs from India. What are my options now? I would appreciate the responses. Thank you again
