A visa lets you enter. The I94 lets you stay till expiry.

"If you’ve lost your F-1 visa while in the United States, here are the steps you should take: Police Report: Visit your local police station and report your lost or stolen documents (passport, visa, etc.). Provide copies of the original documents if available. You’ll receive a police report detailing the incident. Make sure to keep an extra copy for your records. Replace Lost/Stolen Arrival/Departure Record (Form I-94): If you were issued a paper Form I-94 (Arrival/Departure Record) and it was lost or stolen, you must get it replaced immediately. Visit the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) website to file for a replacement I-94. You can find the application form at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website and information about the I-94 at the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) website. Report Lost/Stolen Passport to Your Embassy: Contact the local embassy or consular section of your home country. Inquire about the procedure to replace a lost or stolen passport. Most countries have websites with contact information. Report Lost/Stolen Visa to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate Abroad: Email the Consular Section at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate that issued your visa. Include your full name, date of birth, place of birth, U.S. address, and email address (if available). Clearly state whether the visa was lost or stolen. If you have a copy of the passport or visa, scan and email it to the embassy or consulate. If known, provide the category of visa and the passport number from the lost/stolen visa. Remember that lost or stolen U.S. visas cannot be replaced within the United States. You must apply in person at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate abroad for visa replacement1. Additionally, if your F-1 visa becomes damaged or is lost or stolen while you’re in the U.S., it can only be replaced the next time you travel abroad. While abroad, you must apply for a new F-1 visa before reentering the U.S. in F-1 status2. Keep your other valid documents (passport, I-20, and I-94) handy during this process."

Travel to India While h1b extension petition in progress
pontevecchio replied to Rakesh B Gupta's topic in H1B : General
1. You will come back with an H1 visa and your latest H1 approval. If the extension is approved by then, show them the extension. 2. If no extension by then, your I94 will be based on the current H1 petition expiry. You will be coming back to await the approval of the extension and that will come with its I94. 3. Safety is only an issue if the company is not kosher. Any reason why you have not asked the HR of the company for their take? -
H1B Stamping in CANADA with Multiple ARREST Record
pontevecchio replied to new2immi's topic in H1B : Visa Stamp
You need a visa. You need to fill up the forms truthfully. You may like to run the scenario via a Canadian Immigration lawyer before applying for the visa, specially if there is any suggestion of a DUI in any form. -
She risks getting a much shorter duration of stay.

Advanced Parole-Cruise Travel to Cozumel Mexico Royal Carribean
pontevecchio replied to allipradeep's topic in Travel
Foreigners of any country traveling to Mexico on leisure trips visiting Mexican maritime ports by cruise are not required to obtain a visa or consular stamp. The passenger must carry a valid and not expired passport or travel documents You should also ask the Cruise Line. You may like to email them the question so that you have a record. Be brief and ask them whether you need a visa or travel document to visit Mexico by cruise. Also, look at Visas English (sre.gob.mx) Travel Documents & Requirements | Royal Caribbean Cruises -
H1 status is irrelevant when working abroad Nothing gets transferred. It is a new H1 petition, noncap. Since she has a visa stamp based on H1 petition approval, she would be considered cap counted and hence she could look for a new H1 sponsor to file an H1 Petition for her.

Shortened I-94 at CBP deferred inspection site
pontevecchio replied to MahiK's topic in H1B : I-94 Cards
It would seem from some lawyer answers on this site that there are 2 approaches by CBP, but in view of your approval from 022024 to 022027, you would seem to be fine. -
